Heather Lakey, RDH
Hygienist
Heather’s goal is to help each patient achieve their best oral health. She grew up in Bowie, Maryland with two wonderful parents and a brother. She earned a BA in sociology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1995. As a lifelong animal lover, she devoted 10 years working as a veterinary assistant before switching to human health in 2004.
She learned that she loves clinical and hands-on treatment, but wanted to have a greater impact on the health of others. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2008 with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. Helping patients actually enjoy their dental visits while improving their health is Heather’s favorite part of dentistry.
Outside of work, she loves hanging out with her husband, stepsons, 3 spoiled dogs and cat. She loves spending time outside as much as possible and is dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle.
Elizabeth Cappecci
Office Manager and Patient Treatment Coordinator
Elizabeth discovered her passion for dentistry through dental assisting. Working as an expanded-functions assistant, she experienced first-hand the life changing aspects of dentistry and has been committed to the profession since.
She is also a voracious learner and worked to expand her knowledge and interpersonal skills in practice management. She serves as Baltimore Dental Co.’s office manager, insurance specialist and treatment coordinator. Her unique skills from dental assisting allow her to seamlessly integrate the clinical team’s plan with the financial aspects, while also helping patients to feel empowered and excited about their dental care.
As the office’s official “Jill of all trades” she also assists in the clinic, fabricates dental appliances in the laboratory, and can even service dental equipment! She thoroughly enjoys learning new skills and is dedicated to keeping the practice up to date on the latest technology and management practices.
She and her husband, Ryan, have three wild and wonderful children and reside in Carroll County. They love attending concerts and spending time outdoors together.
Carleigh Coffman, QDA
Dental Assistant
Carleigh has worked in customer facing roles for many years and transitioned into healthcare in order to improve the lives of others. She loves working with patients and making sure they always have a great experience.
In addition to helping Dr. Romay and the hygienists in the clinic, she greets patients, is the lead in sterilization and inventory, takes radiographs, and captures intraoral scans with our 3D scanner. She loves being a part of the Baltimore Dental Co. team because of the family relationship everyone has.
Outside of the office, she lives in Hampstead and spends most of her time with her husband and toddler. They enjoy hiking and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Tina Gemmill
Patient Concierge
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Tina has worked in the customer service field for over six years. If you call our office, there’s a good chance you will be speaking with Tina. She manages the schedule, coordinates patient care, and helps to keep everything at the office running smoothly.
She loves to help all of our patients feel comfortable and at ease, and works hard to make each patient experience positive. She looks at each day as an opportunity to change someone’s life. Outside of the office, Tina loves taking trips to the beach and amusement parks, and spending time with her fiancé, son, nephew and stepdaughter.
