Meet your Glyndon Dentist: Dr. Leah Romay
Dr. Leah Romay grew up on a farm near Reading, Pennsylvania, but always knew she wanted to be a dentist. In pursuit of that goal, she began her studies at the University of Pittsburgh and majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Studio Arts.
Following undergrad, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. During her time in dental school, she was President of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honors Society as well as the Vice President of the Maryland Student Chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists.
Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the Hanau “Best of the Best in Prosthodontics” for her excellent hand skills and clinical work. She then completed an additional year of residency training in dental implants and complex dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Dr. Romay created Baltimore Dental Co. in the beautiful Baltimore County countryside in order to provide high quality and innovative treatment in a compassionate and honest way. She spends many hours each year taking continuing education courses and is always learning about the best ways she can help her patients be healthy.
She has invested in new technology and the latest equipment in order to provide her patients with the best treatment available. She and her team are dedicated to this mission and welcome all patients to the practice.
Dr. Romay’s practice is focused on general dentistry, accepting patients of all ages. She also has special interest and is skilled in SureSmile, Invisalign, clear aligner orthodontics, dental implants and prosthodontics such as dentures, veneers, and crowns.
She greatly enjoys helping her patients smile, be confident, and achieve improved health. Her communication and judgement-free style puts patients at ease and calms anxieties associated with dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Romay has many passions – healthy cooking, gardening, design, antiques, and traveling. She also enjoys teaching others about health, wellness and nutrition. Dr. Romay lives in Upperco/Hereford with her fiancé, Andrey, who is also a dentist, and her Ragdoll cat, Stella.
